Who I am

My name is Hussein Abdou, I’m a rising college freshman at UCLA who just went through the full US college application journey—not just the Common App, but the essays, the stress, the strategy, and everything in between. I know how overwhelming it can feel, especially when you’re trying to make big decisions and stand out at the same time. After getting guidance, doing tons of research, and putting in the work, I was able to create an application I was genuinely proud of—and I realized I could help others do the same. That’s where this started: with the goal of helping students feel less lost and more empowered. I may not be a professional counselor, but I am someone who knows the process, has been through it recently, will give you genuine and useful advice/tips, and cares about helping others find their best-fit path forward.
